Tiras’ grandfather is building an Ark. The enormous boat has been there, in the background, nearing completion, his entire life. I enjoyed reading this book very much. A well written, clever fantasy that is full of action, but also a compelling story of friendship born from mutual distrust and prejudice. Like the author, I too find the story of Noah, and the flood account fascinating. But unlike the recent Hollywood take on Noah, this story offers a reasonable degree of realism while remaining entertaining and not too puzzling, even if you are not an Old Testament Scholar. This book is not chiefly about Noah or the flood, but it's an intriguing view in to the pre-flood society, and what it might have been to live alongside another species similar to ours, but with different origins and radically different form. Some of the narrative ran a bit long in sections, and I was a little surprised of the way it went at the end, but it was not totally out of left field, as there were clues left along the way and I appreciated that both of the main characters ultimately made choices that showed their loving surrender and obedience to their creator.Product details

Once I picked it up, this book was hard to put down. The dialogue, action scenes and descriptions in the book were amazing. Would highly recommend.

good story
I always wondered how "giants" came from among the Philistines. This very entertaining and fast-moving book
(although fiction) gives, at least one probable answer. Fast read. Hope there will be more from this author.
This is excellently written. You will be held captive from the first page until the very last! Creatively written! The story draws you in and you will not be able to put it down!
This was a hard book for me to read continuously because it kept breaking my heart. So realistic even though a work of fiction, my heart became entangled in the boy's plight.. I love the line of thinking, the pots tial interactions with the Nephalim giants, the redemption, the journeys; you can tell it was written by an author familiar with life in global underdeveloped villages and tribes. I was transported to the tents, the forest, the ark. This story will stick with me for a long time; I'm hoping there is more like them to come. - Sammi Fredenburg
Larry has creatively filled in a blank space in Scripture that we know little about with a very compelling novel. Lots of action and a clear affirmation of the character of Elohim / Jehovah as viewed from some of the characters who lived, or may have lived, in earliest recorded history as they might have experienced the days leading up to the Flood. The story is well woven and moves along well, especially after the first few chapters. Thanks, Larry, for writing this. I'll look forward to your next masterpiece.
