This was a sweet, clean romance, and seems like I read that it was a Christian romance. Just to ease the minds of those that worry that "Christian" means preachy... that is not the case with this story, but it does have examples of good values, morals, honesty, respect for others, etc. This story tells of two young people, Brikelle and Colt. Brikelle has recently completed school for interior decorating and Colt has his own cabinet and woodworking business. They are both hired to complete a vacation home for Mrs. Emmaline Jensen, a very wealthy woman. Unfortunately (or fortunately) Emma is given the impression that Brikelle and Colt are married so they are invited to the party celebrating the completion of the vacation home. They are both hesitant to be a part of the deception, but are convinced by the General Contractor that it would only be for a couple days, and that it would be very helpful toward building their individual businesses. The sham starts out well enough, but by the weekend and time for the party, they are both feeling guilty about the lie, and plan to tell Emma the truth. It turns out that the General Contractor (the one that encouraged the fake marriage) has several devious scams going, but luckily he was found out and Emma told him to leave, and basically that he wouldn't be doing any more work for Emma or any of her friends. There is a lot more to the story than I've written here, but you will definitely enjoy it more if you read the book as Cami Checketts has written it! I will tell you that it has a very HEA ending. I highly recommend this book, and its one that will go on my "read again" list. Thanks Cami!!Product details

Cami Checketts develops fun characters and a sweet story while adding some unexpected twists and turns. This book kept me turning pages from start to finish.
They are working on a house together and the guy that has the project tells the owner they are married. The pretend marriage throws them together, they want to keep their jobs. But soon it's not such a pretend relationship
I thought I was getting books by all of these authors ~ instead,I got one entire short story and ' commercials' of the books by the other authors! This was a misrepresentation to be sure! I love these authors,but I suggest just steer clear of these 'collections ' !
A clean, humorous, fast moving love story. This book had great characters and a good storyline. It is well written and I look forward to reading more of Cami Checketts books.
The fun kisses between Brikelle and Colt will have you swooning! Loved this couple! Loved the way the Checketts pushed the characters to the edges and made them deal with their issues! And I loved the way I couldn't stop reading! Get it!
You'll sweat along with the Brikelle and Colt waiting to find out how far they can take pretending to be married. As a dog lover, I loved reading about Ike the Great Dane. Checketts made me relate to Brikelle who has very good reasons for being wary of Ike.

Who would ever think that a dog could bring two people together? In this story of pretending and forgiveness, that's just what happens. There were a few things said that made me feel like this is a modern Cinderella story. I absolutely loved this book!!
I love that this author writes so many of her characters as runners. I've picked it up in the last two years and I've been chased down by dogs before too. Brikelle's fear is realistic, especially since she has a very good reason for it. I love Ike (the dog) and how he knows a good thing when he sees it.
The first meeting after the dog incident immediately had me smiling and swooning. And it didn't stop there. This story is full of palpable chemistry that had me longing for the days when my husband and I were first dating. Every girl wants to be loved and loved well and Colt does a fantastic job of making Brikelle feel his passion and desire. Of course, true to her style, Ms. Checketts keeps the romance spicy, yet clean--no moral boundaries are crossed.
There are so many situations that had me laughing--from boating with the brothers, to fighting at work, to a weekend house party. A twist took me off guard, but gave the story a depth that led the characters to probe their inner feelings.
Content mild violence (talk of dog attack); mild-moderate romance (spicy clean kissing, some innuendo, talk of desire but wanting to wait for marriage).
